Sleeping in the Snow

[February 2018]

Going from livin’ outta my tent all of January on a rooftop in Guatemala, to sleeping outside in -30°C guiding winter camping trips back in snowy Canada...

Makes me look back on these past few months and appreciate feeling the rawness of Mother Nature deep in my bones, and how important that is in my life. In all of her colours, textures...hot, wet, cold, dry, refreshing, caressing, moody, stressing... In all of her beauty, In all of her elements. Just feeling it

This vibrant rawness, That gets dissolved by the comforting walls of our heated houses.

This undying rawness, That’s weaved into the bare hands of Earth, Working everyday to provide for us A place to be, A place to live our wildest dreams.

This inspiring rawness, That teaches me to be pure. To be me.

This precious rawness, The vulnerable soul of Earth, That sings to us everyday With unconditional love.

Listen in, listen close Feel the rawness down to your toes, When that sun comes up, when the moon goes by, When that rain comes down, when you look to the sky.

Thank you Earth. Thank you for your winter emotions, And Thank you for being there to free the Wild Woman dancing deep inside of me.
